Microsoft has already announced that it is going to release the Windows 10 OS in the coming months, but yet no exact date has been given. Currently millions of people are using its preview version which is on beta testing.
Microsoft announced in January that it is upgrading all qualified Windows 7, Windows 8 devices for free including pirated and non-genuine licences. This offer will be applicable for all devices which are compatible for the update and have met the hardware requirements needed for the upgrade.
Some editions are excluded: Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise, and Windows RT/RT 8.1. Devices must be connected to the internet and have Windows Update enabled to be eligible.
Even though the pirated licences will get the update for free, but the licence may still be in not-genuine status. They can enjoy the features what the legitimate users can for free.
